The number of new coronavirus cases is nearing the 10,000 mark on the Central and South Coasts. There are now a total of 9765 confirmed cases in the region.
Ventura County reported 373 new cases from Friday through Sunday, and Santa Barbara County had 197.
Ventura County has 4619 cases, Santa Barbara County 4140, and San Luis Obispo County 1006. Most of those diagnosed with the virus have already recovered.
Ventura County also reported its highest number of coronavirus related hospitalizations so far in the crisis, with 95.
