The John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band, also known as J2B2, will perform in Ventura County July 16th in a drive-in movie style event

A South Coast music festival forced to cancel its season because of the coronavirus crisis is the latest organization to try to drive-in movie approach.  The Ventura Music Festival is bringing the Bluegrass band J2B2 to the Ventura County Fairgrounds July 16th for a drive-in concert.

The John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band is one of America’s best known roots music groups.

People won’t be able to bring lawn chairs, and will have to remain in their cars for the event.  They will be able to listen to the music by turning their FM radios to a specific spot on the dial.  There won’t be concessions, but there will be portable restrooms on site.

The Music Festival is following in the steps of the Rubicon Theater Company, which is holding a five show series of drive-in musical events at the fairgrounds.
