Death Toll At 22 On Central, South Coasts From Coronavirus; 1,056 Test Positive In Region For Virus

The death toll from coronavirus has grown to 22 people on the Central and South Coasts. The two new deaths occurred in Ventura County, bringing its total to 16. Santa Barbara County has had five deaths, and San Luis Obispo County one.

There are 1,056 confirmed coronavirus cases on the Central and South Coasts. Ventura County has 465, Santa Barbara County is at 451 cases, and San Luis Obispo County is at 149 confirmed cases.

Statewide, there are just under 38,000 diagnosed cases. 115 deaths were reported Wednesday, which is the highest one day death total for California since the start of the pandemic.
