Popular South Coast Fair Latest Casualty Of Coronavirus Concerns

One of the largest community events on the South Coast is among the latest things to be cancelled because of the coronavirus crisis. The Santa Barbara Fair and Expo had been set for April 29th through May 3rd. It’s bad news for the Earl Warren Showgrounds, which has been struggling financially.

The popular event featuring carnival rides, and food is one of the non-profit facility’s biggest annual fundraisers.

Last month, another major showgrounds event, the Santa Barbara International Orchid Show, was cancelled on the eve of its scheduled opening.
