20 Coronavirus Cases On Central, South Coasts; SLO County Orders Shelter At Home For All Residents

There are now 20 positive, and presumptive positive cases of coronavirus on the Central and South Coasts. Ventura County has a shelter in place order for everyone over 75, and 70 and above for those with other serious health issues. With seven cases diagnosed in San Luis Obispo County, health officials there have issued a shelter at home order for all county residents starting at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Ventura County has 11 cases, including one confirmed and 10 presumptive positives. Santa Barbara County has two confirmed cases.  No general shelter at home or in place orders have been issued in Ventura or Santa Barbara Counties, except for the one in Ventura County for older residents.

All bars, nightclubs, and theaters, and gyms in the state have been ordered closed. However, bars which serve food can keep their kitchens open on a takeout basis. Restaurants aren’t allowed to provide dine-in service. They can offer food on a takeout and home delivery basis.
