Court Operations Disrupted On Central, South Coasts By Coronavirus

Coronavirus concerns have had a huge impact on court operations on the Central and South Coasts. Ventura County’s Superior Court is closed Monday through Wednesday for judicial holidays. The court is set to resume limited operations Thursday. Most courtrooms will be closed, as will all clerk’s offices. A handful of courtrooms will be open for urgent criminal and civil matters.

In Santa Barbara County, most Superior Court courtrooms are closed. The presiding judge issued an order continuing most scheduled matters to after April 3rd. Only critical criminal matters are being heard. The clerk’s offices for the courts remain open.
