Many Stores Swamped On Central, South Coasts Because Of Coronavirus Concerns

The coronavirus crisis is continuing to hit home on the Central and South Coasts.   While we’ve only had a handful of possible COVID-19 cases in the region, the impacts are widespread.

People are still flooding stores to stockpile supplies.

The parking lot at a Vons in Montecito is packed.  One of the hottest items on shopping lists continues to be toilet paper.

But, shoppers say while they’ve encountered long lines the last few days, they say people have been friendly.  One woman says she found exactly what she needed: wine and coffee.

Other shoppers say they’ve gone online to order hard to find items like toilet paper.
