List Of Cancelled Events, Closed Museums Continues To Grow On Central, South Coasts

A John Fogerty concert planned for the Santa Ynez Valley Friday night is among the many Central and South Coast events cancelled as a result of coronavirus concerns

The list of cancelled events due to coronavirus concerns continues to grow on the Central and South Coasts, and ranges from auto races to a classic rock concert. The Ventura County Fairgrounds has pulled the plug on more than a half dozen events scheduled between now and late April.

They include a Ventura Raceway event planned for Saturday, and a Home and Garden Show set for March 20th-22nd. That show has been rescheduled for mid-May.

The Chumash Casino in the Santa Ynez Valley cancelled a John Fogerty concert planned for Friday night, and a Prince Royce concert set for Saturday night.

The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, the Sea Center, and he Museum of Ventura County will all be closed through the end of the month. And, while libraries in Goleta, Buellton, and Solvang remain open, they have cancelled all special activities like guest speakers through April.
