Imagine being able to explore the library from your mobile phone. Well, Ventura County Library’s new App is bringing library services to your pocket.

If you’ve ever been recommended a book by a friend, and wondered – does my local library have that… well, Ventura County Library’s new MyVCLibrary App can answer that question quickly, and many more.

Users can not only search for materials but can even print from collections on their device, says Dana Vinke, Ventura County Library Deputy Director.

"They can search for our physical materials... and it'll also allow patrons to start using our e-books, which they can access 24/7," he told KCLU News.

And best of all - you don’t even have to speak in a whisper….

Caroline joined KCLU in October 2020. She won LA Press Club's Audio Journalist of the Year Award in 2022 and 2023.

Since joining the station she's won 7 Golden Mike Awards, 4 Los Angeles Press Club Awards and 2 National Arts & Entertainment Awards.

She started her broadcasting career in the UK, in both radio and television for BBC News, 95.8 Capital FM and Sky News and was awarded the Prince Philip Medal for her services to radio and journalism in 2007.

She has lived in California for ten years and is both an American and British citizen - and a very proud mom to her daughter, Elsie.
