Motorcycle Ride For Toys Revs Its Way Through South Coast

The streets on the South Coast rumbled and growled Sunday morning with hundreds of motorcycles on the move.

The annual Unity Shoppe Toy Run has been a holiday tradition; the riders came from throughout Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.

Many of the motorcycles were decorated with holiday garlands, antlers, and were carrying toys on the back.

Some had giant teddy bears sitting in the passenger seat.

The ride began on Santa Claus Lane in Carpinteria, and went through Summerland, Montecito and Santa Barbara for a gathering to drop off the toys at the carriage museum on the South Coast.

The riders were escorted by the Santa Barbara Police Department and the California Highway Patrol.
