After Violence In Charlottesville, Some Santa Barbara County Groups Rally To Support Community

A hastily put together rally brought over 100 people together in Santa Barbara, to show solidarity with the people of Charlottesville, VA.

A violent, deadly conflict took place there over the weekend that police say was linked to a racial divide and white supremacy issues.

At 5 p.m. Sunday in De La Guerre Plaza, groups which included IndivisibleSantaBarbara.org, Campus Democrats, MoveOn.org and Women's March brought flowers and signs to the center of town.

The groups spoke about the conflict, peace, and ways to reduce racial tension.
