CHP Seeks Public Help In Investigation Into Car Crash Which Killed Two In Santa Barbara County

The California Highway Patrol is asking for assistance in the investigation of a car crash that claimed the lives of two Ventura teens.

The crash happened last Monday night on Gibraltar road above Santa Barbara at about 9:30 pm.

The Volkswagen Passat went 300 feet over the side of the road. An extensive rescue effort paid off for three survivors, but two of the teen passengers were killed.

The driver had been arrested for DUI.

The CHP is interesting in information about the whereabouts of the vehicle prior to the crash in the Le Cumbre peak area, or any information from witnesses who may have seen the accident.
