Residents of an Isla Vista apartment had a scare when a walkway roof came down on the third floor Sunday night.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department sent several fire engines, although the structural failure was in a common area and no one was injured.
Building officials were notified that no apartments were damaged.
The residents were able to stay in their homes. A closer inspection is scheduled to take place on Monday.
