Two Killed, Four Hurt In South Coast Traffic Accident

The CHP is trying to figure out what led to a head-on traffic accident on the South Coast that left two people dead and four injured.

The collision happened at about 6:30 P.M. Sunday night on State Route 232, which is also Vineyard Avenue in Oxnard.

Investigators say an Oxnard woman was driving a car southbound near Perello Ranch Road when, for some reason, she veered over the center line and hit a northbound car head.

The woman and one of the three children in the car were killed, while the two other children were seriously injured.

The two people in the other car were both seriously injured.  The names of the victims haven't been released.
