Mistrial Declared In Trial Of 90 Year Old Santa Barbara County Woman Accused Of Killing Daughter

A mistrial has been declared in the trial of a 90 year old Santa Barbara County woman who was accused of planning the death of her daughter, who had ALS.

Santa Barbara County prosecutors filed murder charges against Marjorie Good in conjuction with the March, 2013 death of her daughter Heidi.

Prosecutors say the Solvang woman along with caretaker Wanda Nelson conspired to kill the 52 year old woman.

Defense attorneys contended that a problem with breathing gear led to the woman’s death.

Nelson was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter last week.

There’s no word yet on whether prosecutors will seek a new trial for Majorie Good.
