Poetry in the Gallery
Studio Channel Islands Art Center (SCIART) will present Poetry in the Gallery on Saturday, February 17 at 3 p.m. featuring Laura Reece Hogan. A limited amount of open mic spaces will be available. Laura Reece Hogan is the author of Butterfly Nebula (Backwaters, University of Nebraska Press, 2023), winner of the Backwaters Prize in Poetry, Litany of Flights (Paraclete Press), winner of the Paraclete Poetry Prize, the chapbook O Garden-Dweller (Finishing Line Press), and the nonfiction book I Live, No Longer I (Wipf & Stock). Her poems have appeared in Sugar House Review, Scientific American, RHINO, Connecticut River Review, Verse Daily and elsewhere. This event will be held in the main gallery at 2222 Ventura Blvd., Camarillo, CA 93010.
