NAMBA is excited to welcome back one of Ventura’s most beloved holiday traditions! Join us for a joyful reunion, revival, and rebirth of Clara Cries Nuts, the Nutcracker-inspired parody that has delighted audiences for over two decades.

This special event features a curated screening of clips spanning all eight versions of Clara Cries Nuts; libations and sweet treats to celebrate the season; a full showing of Nocturnal Episode #8 — the final iteration performed during NAMBA’s very first holiday season in 2015.

Episode #8 includes memorable performances such as:
• Colleen O’Callaghan as Clara
• Comedic “wise men” Tom Mueller, John Hammil, and Ken Duncan
• Ebony Payne as a dazzling Sugar Plum

Originally choreographed in 1998 by Pamela Pilkenton and Cathy Butter during the Plexus Dance Theatre years, Clara Cries Nuts has evolved through eight hilarious, heartfelt, and wildly creative productions—each carrying a message steeped in humor, humanity, and holiday spirit. Clara Cries Nuts launched NAMBA’s first holiday season in 2015.
