Russian pianist Alexander Malofeev came to international prominence a decade ago when he won the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians at age 13. He has since established himself as one of the most prominent pianists of his generation, with a reputation for meticulous technique and a searching, fiery intensity of interpretation.
