Detectives are trying to determine if the death of a 78-year-old Camarillo man may be a homicide

Ventura County Sheriff's Office

The man was involved in an argument with his neighbor just before his death.

Authorities are trying to determine if the death of a 78-year-old man in Ventura County was accidental or a homicide.

First responders were called to the 900 block of Calabria Court in Camarillo last night by reports of a man not breathing. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. His name hasn’t been released.

Officials learned that the man had been involved in a dispute with a 69-year-old female neighbor just before the 911 call.

Investigators say that she may have caused him to fall on the ground.
