It happened Thursday night at a Thousand Oaks home.

Detectives are trying to sort out what led to a fatal stabbing in the Conejo Valley.

Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies received multiple calls about an attack at a home on the 2600 block of Crescent Way in Thousand Oaks just after 8 p.m. Thursday.

Officers arrived to find a man with stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives say the 36-year-old man was from Simi Valley, but his name hasn’t been released yet. There’s no word yet on what led up to the stabbing.
