Major sewage spill reported in Ventura County

The approximately 80,000 gallon spill happened in the Oxnard area.

There’s been a major sewage spill in the ocean in Ventura County.

About 80,000 gallons of partially treated sewage was discharged from the Oxnard Wastewater Treatment Plant into the ocean. Crews have stopped and contained the spill.

The sewage spill closed Ormond Beach and Port Hueneme Beach Park.
