Detectives are trying to figure out what led to the fatal shooting of a woman in Ventura County. It happened in Oxnard.
Police were called to the 1000 block of Industrial Avenue just before midnight Sunday, by reports of a shooting. They found Yanelly Vargas with a gunshot wound.
The 35-year-old Oxnard woman was rushed to a hospital, but she later died.
