Launch seen hundreds of miles away

It was up, up and away for a rocket from the Central Coast after it had been delayed multiple times by bad weather.

SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base at 4:34 p.m. Friday.

It carried 22 communications satellites into orbit.

The reusable first stage booster successfully landed on a barge of the West Coast.
