Passenger train hits big rig in Ventura County: Five injuries reported

Collision involved an Amtrak train.

At least five people have been reported injured after a passenger train and a big rig collided in Ventura County.

It happened just after 6 p.m. Tuesday night, near Highway 118 and San Canyon Road.

The injuries are reported to be minor. The collision disrupted traffic on Highway 118 because of downed power lines. The rail line has also been closed by the accident.
