The Tri-Counties largest Earth Day event is back in full force for the first time since the pandemic

Santa Barbara's 2023 Earth Day celebration will take place this weekend in Alameda Park.

Actress, activist Jane Fonda set to appear.

One of America’s most famous climate activists is going to be a part of one of the Tri-Counties biggest Earth Day celebrations.

Santa Barbara’s Earth Day Festival will take place in the city’s Alameda park this Saturday and Sunday. It’s the first full scale festival since the pandemic.

The Community Environmental Council’s event will feature the longest running green car show in the nation, environmental displays and activities, plus food and entertainment. Admission is free. It will take place from 11-7 Saturday and 11-6 Sunday.

On Sunday, actress and activist Jane Fonda will present the CEC’s Environmental Hero Awards. This year, they will go to some environmental activists who helped alert people to the dangers of impacts of oil wells in neighborhoods.
