Top party official says Simi Valley will be the scene of the party's second debate for 2024 presidential candidates.

Ventura County will once again be the scene of a debate among presidential candidates. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley will host the second Republican presidential primary debate.

The chair of the Republican National Committee, Ronna McDaniel made the announcement during a speech at the presidential library.

The first debate will take place in Milwaukee in August. The date for the event in Simi Valley hasn’t been announced. There’s no word yet on what news organization will partner with the party to broadcast the event.

In 2015, the presidential library hosted one of the Republican debates, with a huge field of 11 candidates. That debate included then presidential candidate Donald Trump.
