Tari Cody appointed to Second District Court of Appeal

A longtime Ventura County judge has been appointed to the state bench.

Tari Cody has been confirmed as an Associate Justice for the Second District Court of Appeal.

Cody was a practicing attorney from the mid-80’s until the year 2000, when she was appointed to be a Ventura County Superior Court judge.

California Governor Gavin Newsom nominated her for the state post. A three-member commission including the state’s Chief Justice, Presiding Justice, and State Attorney General confirmed her for the position.

She is now filling the vacancy created by the recent retirement of longtime Second District Judge Steven Perren.
