Man is accused of molesting child in the mid-to-late 2000's at New Beginnings Community Church in Nipomo.

Detective says they’ve arrested a former youth pastor on the Central Coast on child molestation charges.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s detectives say last fall, they received reports that a child had been repeatedly molested by the pastor in the mid-2000’s.

They think Jeffrey York assaulted the child over a three-year period. At the time, York was a Youth Pastor at New Beginnings Community Church in Nipomo.

He had moved to Portland, Oregon, but investigators arrested him this week while he was visiting Arroyo Grande. The now 53-year-old man is facing multiple molestation charges.
