A prestigious Ventura County based organization which fosters the work of playwrights has a new executive director.
The Ojai Playwrights Conference has been helping develop and polish works for more than two decades, helping with nearly 200 projects.
Longtime Artistic Director Robert Egan stepped down last year from the post, so he could pursue other projects.
The conference hired Jeremy Cohen to take over as Artistic Director.
He’s currently the Producing Artistic Director at the Playwrights’ Center in Minneapolis. He’s well known in the theater world for his support of new work, and has directed dozens of his own productions.
