A Central Coast man is dead following a shooting involving an off-duty police officer.
It happened at around 8 p.m. Saturday night, in Orcutt. Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to a market on Foster Road by reports of a shooting.
They found a man there who had been shot to death. Deputies say an off-duty Santa Maria Police officer was involved in the shooting.
Officers aren’t saying what they think led to the shooting, but did say the man who was shot, and killed was a suspect in an incident which happened at the store.
