2017 rampage in Oxnard left two dead

A Ventura County man has been convicted of multiple charges in a crime spree which left two people dead.

David Flores was found guilty of first-degree murder in the 2017 shooting deaths of two men in Oxnard. Prosecutors say Flores, and two other men killed Aaron Austin outside of an apartment complex. Less than a half hour later, they say he shot and killed Eduardo Viveros on an Oxnard street.

Investigators say the trio also robbed three people at gunpoint.

The two other men in the case had already pled guilty. Flores was convicted in a jury trial. Prosecutors call Flores a “frightening and dangerous man,” and say he would kill again if he were to get out of prison. The 25-year-old Oxnard man will be sentenced April 19th.
