2+ inches of rain reported on South Coast Tuesday night, with totals still rising

The latest storm to hit the Tri-Counties has brought some heavy rain to the South Coast, some thunderstorm activity, and even a brief tornado warning.

The tornado warning came just after 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Point Mugu State Park area. Doppler radar tracked a strong cell storm of activity in the Point Mugu area. The warning included Cal State Channel Islands, and some ranches in the area. But, the warning expired at 8:30 p.m. with no issues reported.

As of 6 p.m. Tuesday, some parts of the region reported more than 2" of rain, including 2.3" in Santa Paula, 2" in Oxnard, and 2" in Montecito.
