It’s college basketball’s biggest time of the year, and a Tri-Counties team in in the middle of March Madness.

It’s been one of the biggest seasons in the history of UC Santa Barbara men’s basketball. The Gauchos finished the regular season with a 27-7 record, winning the Big West Championship last weekend.

The win earned them a birth in March Madness for the eighth time in the program’s history.

But, their first game won’t be an easy one. UCSB plays Baylor.

Baylor lost their two last games, but their 22-10 record gave them a spot in what’s known as the big dance.

The last time the two teams met was in 1970, when UCSB won 95-68.

The game is at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning It will be broadcast live on the TNT cable network.
