Three more people have been arrested in connection with what detectives think was the accidental shooting of a tourist caught in the crossfire of two gangs in Santa Barbara.

Detectives say man was caught in cross fire during gang shootout at Stearns Wharf in Santa Barbara

There are more arrests in connection with what detectives say was a shootout between gangs at a popular Tri-Counties tourist spot which left an innocent bystander dead.

Robert Gutierrez died after being shot on December 9, near Santa Barbara’s Stearns Wharf.

Four men were arrested in January in connection with the killing. Now, Santa Barbara Police say there have been an additional three arrests in connection with the case. The three who were just arrested are all juveniles. Two are 15 years old, and the third is 16. They were taken into custody in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties.

Detectives are now saying that some of those arrested are part of a Santa Barbara street gang, and the others are from Ventura County gangs.
