Some Disaster Relief Centers set up in Tri-Counties in wake of January's storms are set to close

Two centers in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties will remain open.

This is the last week of operation for some of the FEMA/State Disaster Recovery Centers set up for victims of the January storms which hit the Tri-Counties.

The FEMA center at the Veterans Hall in San Luis Obispo will have its last day of operation Tuesday. The center at the non-profit group Direct Relief’s headquarters in Santa Barbara will close at the end of the day Wednesday.

Two other Disaster Recovery Centers will remain open. There’s one at Alan Hancock College in Santa Maria. It’s open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

And, the center at the Ventura County Fairgrounds is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.
