Federal action clears way for individuals as well to apply for relief through FEMA.

The federal government cleared the way for Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties, as well as individuals in the counties to receive financial help to deal with damage from recent winter storms.

The counties will be able to get funding for debris removal, and other storm related relief projects.

Residents will also be able to apply for storm relief aid. FEMA has an app which allows people to upload their storm related information, and track the status of aid requests.
