200 people now involved in effort to find five year old.

Some 200 people are now involved in the search for a little boy who was swept away by floodwaters on the Central Coast.

About 120 members of the California National Guard joined the efforts Thursday to find Kyle Doan. He was being driven to school by his mother in a pickup truck Monday on a rural road near San Miguel when they were trapped in an overflowing creek.

They both got out of the truck, but were caught in the floodwaters. Nearby residents pulled the mother out of the raging water to safety, but the little boy was swept away.

Search and rescue teams from throughout the state, some firefighters, a helicopter, and six canine teams are involved in the search for the boy. Mud and debris have been hampering the search effort.
