Flooding damages homes in Orcutt and Guadalupe.

The storm is over, but many of the impacts are still being felt, especially in northern Santa Barbara County.

In Orcutt, more than two dozen homes were damaged after a sink hole led to the flooding of some nearby homes. The issue occurred off of Union Valley Parkway. And in Guadalupe, a breach in the Santa Maria Levee led to about 20 homes being damaged.

While Highway 101 is open, Highway 154 remains closed as a result of a number of slides.

And, Amtrak service on the coast could be disrupted for weeks. The storm damaged the rail line just west of Goleta. Service has been suspended, and repairs could take 10 to 16 days.

Another storm is in the forecast. It’s expected to arrive Friday. Meteorologists say it will be a much smaller one than Monday’s monster storm, with maybe an inch of rain on the coast, and inland, and two inches in the mountains.
