Detectives say they've caught a very selective serial burglar in Ventura County who was so low key some victims didn't know they were victims.

Investigators say burglar would only take a few small items, so some people didn't even realize they had been burglarized.

Detectives say they’ve arrested a cat burglar whose approach was so low key that many of his victims didn’t even know they were victims.

Investigators say Alibek Nagim focused on homes in Moorpark and Simi Valley. They say instead of ransacking a house, the Burbank man would only take a few small items.

Detectives say he was caught on surveillance video using stolen credit cards at a local department store. Then, on December 28th, he was arrested while leaving a Simi Valley home which had just been burglarized.

Further investigation led to the 28-year-old man being linked to more than a half-dozen burglaries in the county. Detectives say in some cases, when they notified the victims they didn’t even known they had been burglarized.
