A planned rocket launch from the Central Coast which was originally planned for Monday night is now set for this weekend.
SpaceX is preparing to launch a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base carrying 51 small Starlink satellites. They are part of a growing network of satellites intended to help provide internet service to underserved parts of the world.
The launch was originally bumped from Monday because of the big storm. Then, a planned Tuesday launched was postponed so the launch team could review some technical data.
The new plan calls for liftoff at 8:18 a.m. Sunday. If the weather cooperates, it could be visible throughout the Tri-Counties.
