Cleanup efforts continue from large swells and high tides impacting some coastal areas.

This week’s big storm which hit the Tri-Counties may be history, but cleanup efforts are continuing.

Santa Barbara’s Harbor and Waterfront areas were hit by a combination of large swells, and high tides. The surge dumped sand and debris into some parking lots. Some are still closed, as cleanup efforts continue.

Goleta Beach County Park was also hit, with sand ending up in the parking lot, and some damage to its beachfront restaurant. And, some of the piers in the region were shut down due to the high surf.

The high surf closed the coastal rail line on Thursday in the Carpinteria area, with the surf actually making it to the rails. But, it has since reopened.
