The final numbers are in for the November election in Ventura County.

Final count settles what was a close mayor's race in Ojai.

The results for the November election are now final for Ventura County, and we now know the winner in what was a tight mayor’s race.

Ojai Mayor Elizabeth Stix held onto her seat, narrowly defeating a challenge from actor and director Anson Williams. Williams had a lead early in the vote counting, but Stix ultimately won by a 51-to-49% margin. The incumbent won by 42 votes.

Williams is best known for playing the charter “Potsie” in the popular TV sitcom Happy Days.

Ventura County Elections officials say 284,000 people voted in the county in the November election. It was a 56% voter turnout. Most people voted by mail, with 89% of those who cast ballots opting to do it that way. It was also the last election for Ventura County Registrar of Voters Mark Lunn, who decided not to seek a fourth term in office.
