First responders use sirens to break up attack.

A teenage girl was seriously injured in a dog attack in the Conejo Valley.

It happened Sunday, in Thousand Oaks. First responders were called to a home at around 3:30 p.m. by reports of dogs attacking someone. They say they arrived to find a half dozen dogs biting a 16-year-old girl.

Ventura County Sheriff's deputies and Los Angeles County Animal Control officers used sirens on their vehicles to startle the dogs, and stop the attack.

The teen suffered a number of bite wounds, but none of the injuries were considered to be life threatening. The dogs were apparently family pets.

Animal Control officers rounded up the dogs, and are holding them pending on a decision on what should be done with them.
