There's been an arrest in a attack which occurred five years ago which left a woman dead, and a man seriously injured.

Oxnard Police say more arrests are coming in connection with the October, 2017 shootings which also left a man wounded.

A crime which left the South Coast shocked has apparently been solved five years after it happened. The mother of two young children was shot to death in an apparently senseless attack at an Oxnard intersection.

It occurred in October of 2017. Someone drove up next to a pickup truck stopped at an Oxnard intersection, and opened fire. The woman driving the pickup was killed, and a passenger was seriously wounded.

Alexis Lopez of Camarillo was just 26 years old. The passenger, Omar Pacifuentes, eventually recovered from his injuries.

Oxnard Police detectives have been working on the case for the last five years. They just announced they arrested an Oxnard man for the attack. 25-year-old Jacob Stier was already in the Ventura County jail on an unrelated charge at the time of his arrest.

Investigators say they expect to make more arrests in connection with the case.
