Detectives are trying to figure out what led to the shooting death of a man on the South Coast over the weekend.
Oxnard Police were called to the 300 block of Cuesta Del Mar Drive just after 10 p.m. Saturday by reports of a shooting.
They found a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Paramedics tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's name is being withheld until his family is notified.
