The Veterans Administration has opened a new 50,000 square foot clinic in Ventura, providing a wide range of services for veterans in the region.

Ventura clinic will provide more comprehensive services than old Oxnard site, saving some veterans trips to Los Angeles for care.

A long sought new veterans clinic on the South Coast is now up and running in Ventura County. It’s expected to save some veterans trips to Los Angeles for specialized services.

The VA’s new 50,000 square foot facility is at 5250 Ralston Road in Ventura. It replaces the old VA facility in Oxnard. Unlike the old facility which contracted for medical providers, this one will be staffed by VA clinicians.

It will provide primary care, mental health services, and women’s health care. There’s also more specialized support like dental, eye, and hearing care.
