A South Coast airport has added a new facility specially designed to help parents traveling with newborn children.

Santa Barbara Airport has installed what's known as a "Lactation Pod." It's a private room where a mother can breastfeed or pump.

The pod has controlled light, airflow, and electricity for a pump. It's big enough for a stroller. People can access it using a special phone app, which insures the security of those using it.

Airport officials say the pod also was custom designed to match the terminal's Spanish style architecture. The pod is on the second floor of the terminal, near the airport's Gate Two.
