SpaceX set to boost more of its series of Starlink satellites into orbit.

A rocket launch is set to take place from the Central Coast Friday. SpaceX is set to launch a Falcon-9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base.

Depending on the weather, you may be able to see the flight. The 2:40 p.m. Falcon-9 rocket launch will carry 46 Starlink satellites into orbit.

Plans call for the booster to land on a barge in the Pacific Ocean. The satellites are part of a growing global network of satellites intended to improve access to underserved parts of the country.

But, the Federal Communications Commission this week denied an application by SpaceX for nearly a billion dollars in subsidies for the project. The FCC questioned whether it would provide the promised service. The company will again be able to seek funding again in another round of grants.
