Fair's 12-day run starts Wednesday at the Paso Robles Event Center.

The biggest county fair in the Tri-Counties is set to kick off its 2022 run Wednesday, with some major rock and country music bands as headliners.

The California Mid-State Fair will take place during the next 12 days in Paso Robles.

The rock band Journey will perform in the main grandstand area Wednesday night. Country Star Darius Rucker takes the stage Thursday night, and Old Dominion will headline on Friday night.

Santana and John Fogerty are among the shows set for next week. In addition to the big shows, the fair features traditional events like livestock shows, carnival rides, and a rodeo.

A scaled down version of the fair took place last year, attracting more than 200,000 people. In pre-pandemic years, the fair would have more than 400,000 visitors annually.
