Detectives say they’ve arrested a Ventura County man on charges he murdered, and dismembered his mother.
Tomoko Hoetzlein’s remains were discovered Friday morning in the dumpster of a Camarillo apartment complex.
The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the remains were human, and that a homicide had occurred. Based on some of the information gathered by investigators, they got a search warrant for a nearby apartment.
David Hoetzlein was there. After questioning, he was arrested Friday night for the murder of his mother. Detectives say they recovered evidence at the apartment linking him to the killing. He lived in the apartment with his mother.
